The campaign is about women's empowerment in terms of beauty standards in today's culture. Different variables have been suggested as contributing to the disparities in body image between men and women. As stated by Dr. Carla Stokes (2017), a professional speaker who works specifically with adolescent girls and women going through life pressures and transitions, told via email. Body shaming young girls can lead to "poor body image, anxiety, depression, unhealthy behaviors, emotional eating, eating disorders, and other negative outcomes." It has been suggested that women are under more pressure to conform to the body ideal and look good than men because women are more frequently exposed to ideal bodies in the media and because beauty is more important to the feminine gender role in Western societies than it is to the masculine gender role. Hairstyles, skin types, and physical size are frequently used to establish beauty standards. The measures that must be used to achieve these criteria are frequently risky. For decades, a woman's physique has been used to define her beauty. This criterion is now commonly referred to as "thin."
